The Salacians are far and away the most enigmatic of the various
breeds of the Atlanteans. The waves of the far northern sea hold
little interests to Land Dwellers, save the few tribes of the wild
northern Sylvans, so there is little first hand knowledge of
Salacians within their own realm. However, stories from those brave
traders that venture that far north indicate that they are a remote
and mysterious people. One trader indicates that they appear from
cuts in the ice sheets and demand to know the visitor's purpose.
Pure white seems to be a common color of their people and they
cannot be seen until they choose to be seen. However, it seems that
you deal evenly and honestly with them, they can be as genial and
pleasant as the rest of their race. No-one knows how they react to
hostility or stand-offishness, but many vessels disappear in the far
north and surely all of them are not lost to storms. Even more
mysterious, there are scattered reports of Atlanteans that appear to
be of the same stock as the Salacians residing in a series of Lakes
on the far continent across the ocean. They appear to be as
reclusive as there northern brethren, only dealing with the
occasional Sylvan of the area. Any relationship that they have with
the those Atlanteans of the north can only be guessed at.
They are also known as the Najada.
