"A Lack of Clarity"Esteemed members of the Aegis: I shall, uncharacteristically perhaps, make my thoughts concise regarding the matter of the former Hound Altair Leander Chryseis. Having read the thoughts of my colleagues, having seen evidence and arguments from the legal representatives of each side, I come to the following conclusion, reached through logical approach rather than personal preference: Dominus Chryseis should be released for lack of clarity in matters between the Empyre and Delphi. I would urge that we, the Aegis, work to attain a greater clarity in future, but we cannot condemn the former Hound for circumstances existing when the death in question occurred. I strongly deny the possibility of offering any restitution for the Dominus' time away from the Hounds. For whatever reason, he resigned his office. We should not be held responsible for his decisions; if he feels he was induced to such a resignation, let him seek civil restitution. It is my most profound hope this matter will draw to a conclusion soon so that other matters of state, including this knotty issue of dual citizenship, may be approached again.
Respectfully yours,
