Far to the north, beyond the boundaries of Aether's "known world," there is a land of snow and ice. It is peopled by races not unlike those found further south -- the barbaric, winged Aesir, the hardy, mind-reading Najada, and another breed that's somewhere in between -- those with wings who live beneath the waves, known as the Rusalki. Now, some thirty men and women from these three disparate groups have banded together in order to journey south -- lured by warmer waters, by the legendary tower of Delphi, by adventure and the spoils of war, and by the promise of a new destiny outside their homeland.

Haven had better watch out -- for a storm is coming.

  10-25-00: The Najada perform a sacrifice to their stern, stormy god, Vodyanoi, who will only be appeased by blood.
• The Laws of Haven (44K)

  09-20-00: Two of Delphi's Estrels negotiate with the Aesir and the Najada about allowing them free rein in Haven, though naturally they need to describe some of Haven's laws by which the newcomers will be bound.
• In the Sea of Unknowing (15K)

  09-15-00: Najada Kurie and Delphic Sibyl have a "meeting of minds," as it were, though neither of them can quite determine what the future holds for their people.
• The Word of the Najskor (14K)

  09-14-00: Spirit-Whisperer and Izak, the Najada Najskor, meet to discuss binding the Najada to the same terms of truce to which the Aesir are bound.

  09-13-00: A delegation of Empyreans visit Delphi to speak with the leaders of the "barbarians" and attempt to resolve the issue of their slain soldiers.

  09-12-00: The Hoevding of the Aesir speaks with two Estrels of Delphi in an attempt to come to an arrangement that will placate the other governments residing within Haven.
• Between the Known and the Unknown (34K)
  Featuring: Izak, Katya, Okalani, Spirit-Whisperer, Thorvald
  09-12-00: The High Priestess of Pasiphae and Estrel of Delphi, Okalani, meets with two of the warlike Najada, to try and educate them a little more about the Delphic Citadel and its denizens.
• Pieces of the Puzzle (22K)
  Featuring: Demetrius and Okalani
  09-10-00: The Captain of the Amarada, Demetrius, may be the only one in Haven to know anything about the barbaric Northlanders who attacked the city just days past. The High Priestess of Pasiphae, and Estrel of Delphi, Okalani, hopes to learn more about the invaders from the charming ship-captain.
• After the Battle is Over (88K)
  Featuring: Altair, Axel, Cyrene, Izak, Jana, Leif, Niamh, Niherlas, Starsong, Sven, Thorvald
  09-09-00: The barbarian invaders are taken to Delphi for healing now that a truce has been reached.
• Storming the Citadel (133K)

  09-09-00: The invaders fight their way into the Rialto, where they are eventually outnumbered and overwhelmed by the magic of their enemies. They're not about to surrender willingly, though, and peace must be negotiated when one of them captures the Emperor, Drusus Marcus Jove.

  09-09-00: Strange invaders, accompanied by a blizzard, attack Haven, and the races must band together in order to fend them off.

  09-08-00: Aesir, Najada, and Rusalka bicker during the journey, each of them wary and suspicious of one another, not to mention irritable from so many days crowded together in a single ship.

  09-07-00: Having received a cryptic warning about some "danger from the north" from Delphi's Sibyl, Cassius visits the Citadel to discover what more he can learn about this prophecy.

• Words of Warning (21K)
  Featuring: HeartsEase, Many Shadows, Skyfire, Spirit-Whisperer
  09-07-00: Spirit-Whisperer visits the Ettowealona to warn of the visions that many clairvoyants have received, and also to share news of Haven with members of the tribe.
• A Shared Bond (14K)
  Featuring: Cyrene and Katya
  08-27-00: Rusalka and Najada converse, mind-to-mind, and try to reach some understanding about their own differences in culture.

• Visitors at the Lodge (27K)
  Featuring: Astraea (various NPCs), Mariham (Kovar & Najada), Thorvald
  08-15-00: Several Najada show up at the Aesir lodge to meet with the Hoevding, Thorvald, in order to discuss further details about the upcoming journey south.

These visions, written by Eleggua, were sent out as precursors to "The Coming Storm" plot. They went out to various clairvoyant characters, but have been provided here so the general populace of Aether can glimpse the prophetic dreams that presaged Fimbulwinter.
