As with the Player page, most of the Aether-related
sites are no longer active, but there are still a few scattered across the web.
Eos was also kind enough to upload a number of her old sites, just for the occasion.
The links are divided into the following categories:
Aether-Related: - Aelfar:
As with the Aesir, Najada, and Rusalki, the Aelfar were a "new race" located somewhere
to the north of Aether's "known lands." They were similar to Sylvans, but with
a distinctly early British/Welsh feel, and they were concocted by Herne, with
a web-design by Selene.
- Aether
- The Legacy: Aether's closing didn't stop some players from continuing out
their saga, and this website is a collection of art, casting calls, and even a
"tour guide" for other spots in the Empyre.
- Agni-Haidar:
Designed by Anubis' player, this website contains information about the elite
warriors of Khalid Atar, his "Lions of Fire."
- Atlanteans:
a web-site dedicated to the sea-dwelling Atlanteans, designed and maintained by
Asherah, the fishy admin.
- Available
Features and VIPs: a page expressly for important positions and roles that
have opened up on the game.
- Aztec
Varati: Bat Kol and Itzapapalotl both came up with ideas for this South American-inspired
race of Varati, which unfortunately never entered the game while it was up, but
it was good fodder for the imagination nonetheless.
- The
Empyreans - Rulers of the Sky: a web-page devoted exclusively to all things
Empyrean, designed and maintained by Eos.
- Eternity
MUSH: A spin-off game that was created after Aether closed down, when a number
of Sylvan players decided to tweak the theme a bit, so that they could continue
playing the characters they knew and loved.
- Empyrean
Art - The Golden Age: a web-page devoted to the 500 year period on Aether
when the Empyreans reigned supreme, and specifically the art they produced. Maintained
by Selene's player.
- The
Empyrean Temple Project: a site designed by Selene that pertains to the "temple
project" she and Octavian are heading. It features information, images, logs,
available jobs, and a list of gods and goddesses for whom we need models!
- Fimbulwinter
- The Coming Storm: a web-page designed by Eos that features information about
some of the races beyond the "known world" of Aether: the Aesir, Najada, and Rusalki.
- From Dark Waters:
a site dedicated to the Orcinus Decemvirate, this one was created and is maintained
by Shinjukou's player, and it contains more helpful information about the "black
sheep" Decemvirate of the Atlanteans.
- The
Gladiators of Aether: a page with information, logs, and images about the
slaves and warriors who live, sweat, and die in the arena. Created and maintained
by Fenimos.
- House Acesius:
Another of Selene's creations, this one focuses specifically on the Empyrean noble
House of Acesius, one of the premier patrician families in the Empyre.
- New
Player FAQ: A page of frequently-asked-questions meant to provide a quick
overview for new players -- created by Nox@Aether.
- Recommended
Listening: links to various musicians or groups whose work has a uniquely
"Aether-ish" feel.
- Ushasti
- Beloved of Ushas: Inanna designed this page, which contains more information
about the Ushasti, a sub-sect of Varati religion that focuses on healing, herbalism,
midwifery, and other "women's work."
- Varati
- People of the Neverending Fire: Originally designed by Astraea and then
maintained by Hecate, this page contains more information about the Varati culture,
history, and social structure.
