Since January of 1998, when Aether first opened its doors to the public, it was home to scores of excellent roleplayers. Many of them submitted logs for posting, and they've been gathered here, divided up by date, and preserved for posterity.

Some scenes were important public events like battles, weddings, meetings, etc. while others illustrated the differences between the races and cultures that existed on Aether. But whether you're looking for drama, romance, comedy, epic battles, or political intrigue, Aether had it all.

TinyPlots:

Certain plots on Aether were widespread and important enough to impact many areas of the game. Therefore, they earned their own pages, which chronicle the major events and scenes pertaining to those respective plots. They have been listed in descending order (from most recent to oldest), and the real-life dates have been included.

  • Aether: The Odyssey - Northern Voyage is unlike most of Aether's other plotlines in that it is run more like a tabletop adventure. It focuses on the voyage of the Amarada, a ship sailing into the dangerous waters of the Aesir and Najada, who live far in the frozen wastelands to the north of Haven. This specially designed website was created and is maintained by Eos, and it features links to related sites, logs, and journal entries by Captain Demetrius, chronicling the adventure.
  • Delphi: Divide and Conquer centers around Delphi and Haven and the recent political turmoil surrounding them. The nations may decide to carve up their separate chunks of the city and dismantle Haven's government altogether, or institute new changes. Or Delphi might fight back. Read the logs posted here to find out the latest in the saga. The plot was started in May of 2001.
  • Aether: Hign Noon was the April Fool's Day prank for 2001, only instead of 1930's Chicago, we chose a Wild West theme. For two days, Haven became known as Hell's Half Acre, and folks who before wielded magic were instead shooting six-guns. This page features links to other Wild West sites.
  • Fimbulwinter - The Coming Storm includes roleplay logs, prophetic visions, and bulletin board postings which have to do with the introduction of three new races to Aether: the Aesir, Najada, and Rusalki. They first arrived in Haven in September of 2000.
  • Fields of Ash - The Varati Rebellion showcases logs and bulletin board postings related to the Varati rebellion against Khalid Atar and his Empyrean wife, Thalia Tritonides, which took place roughly from June until September of 2000.
  • Aether Noir is not a TinyPlot, but rather an April Fool's joke. For April Fool's day 2000, the staff decided it would be fun to change the theme of the game for a weekend, to the late 1930's and early 1940's in Chicago, during the height of the "gangster era." This page features roleplay logs, links, and descriptions from that genre.
  • The Prophecy details the visions, scenes, and posts relating to the prophecy plot -- one which will have a drastic effect on the magic of the realm. The first stirrings of the plot began in July of 1999, but it only really started getting underway in October and November of that same year.
  • The Plague records the events of a plague that ravaged Haven, originating in the tent-city which housed refugees from the war. Featured are logs, stories, links, and posts from July through September of 1999.
  • The War features logs, stories, and posts relating to the Varati/Empyrean war which took place from September of 1998 through February of 1999.
