The Aether web-page has been updated on the following dates (in descending order from most recent to oldest):

04-25-04: Now that the re-opening is a go, information on the main page was updated. Also, the Rumor page has finally been completed, with posts two years old. Some new goodies have been uploaded, specifically to Astraea's gallery page, along with a special wallpaper collage showcasing just about every artist from Aether's four years (warning: it's big!)
04-01-04: No, it's not another April Fool's Day prank (fun as those were). After a recent bout of nostalgia, and after hearing from the former admin, Luna, a few of us decided to have an "Aether Reunion." Argon was kind enough to let us use mux.net again for the website and game, and so everything is back up and running -- at least temporarily. Feel free to take a trek down memory lane by browsing through old logs and artwork, or check out the links and see what else is still around. Also, please take a look at the Credits page -- I tried to give credit where it was due, but don't hesitate to remind me if I overlooked anyone!
02-15-02: Aether finally shut its doors shortly after midnight. It ran for a little over four years, which is fairly successful for an in-depth, original-themed game with an emphasis in mythology, history, and fantasy. The website will remain indefinitely as a testament to the time, work, effort, and care that went into the creation of this game. Aether players will also have a home at Online Gaming Resource in the Aether Mini-MU* area (#606) created for the purpose of allowing them to continue their storylines. The Aether Discussion Forum will also remain so that players have a means of contacting one another. Though the game has closed, hopefully it will live on in the minds and hearts of all those who took part.

01-30-02: Changed the information on Aether's main page to reflect the fact that it will be officially closing down on February 14, 2002.

01-28-02: Made a new addition to the Staff Policies in the news files. Scroll down to the bottom to read about staff's commitment to trustworthiness.

01-25-02: Replaced the old example of a good "sample application" with a new one -- Celeste's (the original Celeste), who graciously allowed her application to be posted for posterity. Thank you, Celeste! Hopefully, it will serve as a useful example of how to write a well-done application.

01-23-02: Aether celebrates its fourth birthday! Happy Birthday, Aether! Feel free to visit the Aether Discussion Forum to share any thoughts about how far we've come and where we're going.

01-21-02: Revised the previous "etiquette" news files under the Policies header, which now includes both Player and Staff policies. The latter is a list of commitments and standards of behavior that players may expect from the staff. Also, changed the inactivity period cited in the Features news files from one month to two weeks. Finally, updated the Gallery page.

01-16-02: Posted the Staff/Player Meeting to the Library page, for your reading pleasure. Also updated the Empyrean and Varati portions of the Casting Call.
